Rehabilitation Walking

What is Rehabilitation Walking?

Using stability poles or Nordic Walking poles our rehabilitation walking course is aimed at people with balance and coordination problems and long term health conditions including, Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis, Head Injury, Stroke, Cancer, as well as those following hip and knee surgery. 

All participants are assessed by our instructor Joanne, who has 40 years nursing experience as well as been fully qualified in the use of poles for rehabilitation walking.

A maximum of 2 people are taught at a time in order you receive individual attention to help you achieve your goals.

Established community groups, such as Parkinson’s Association, Cancer Support Groups etc can contact us to ask about group classes.

Group Classes

Our group classes are ideal for established community groups, such as Parkinson’s Association, Cancer Support Groups, who meet on a regular basis. The group classes can be held indoors if the group have a regular meeting venue or outdoors.

Group size: 4 people for 1 instructor.  Instructors available for larger group (Max 8 people)

Poles provided.

Grants maybe available through the HSE & local sports partnerships for these sessions.

Private Lesson

Private lessons are ideal for people who have significant mobility problems or who do not feel ready to join a group.
