WHAT IS NORDIC FIT?
Once you have completed one of our Nordic Walking Experience Day or half day courses why not join us at Nordic Fit or Nordic Fit Online
Nordic Fit provides outdoor classes and walks to improve overall fitness and endurance. The classes will include speed and interval training as well as circuit training and fitness walks using Nordic Poles.
Nordic Fit Online classes can be done anywhere once you have access to the internet. Just 30 mins of exercise using Nordic Poles. Although run in 6 week cycles you can join these classes anytime and work to your own level.
The classes and walks help to improve: balance, posture, strength and muscle tone. increase fat burning and weight loss. Studies have shown that exercising outside lowers blood pressure and heart rate making outdoor exercise feel less strenuous than similar exercise indoors which in turn pushes you to maximum performance. Additionally exercising outdoors has shown to improve mental well being, reduce stress and deprression.

NORDIC Fit Class
Duration: 1 Hour
You must attend both Nordic Poles 1 & Nordic Poles 2 or equivalent before attending these classes.
These classes are run over a 6 week block. Each week you will gradually increase your ability to complete a series of exercises to help improve strength, stamina, balance speed and overall fitness. The final week of the block will be participation in a 5K fitness walk.
These sessions are great preparation for people who would like to participate in our longer weekend walks but don’t currently have the necessary fitness for this.
Also good for those who already have good fitness levels but would like to improve their strength, stamina and speed.
MAX CLASS SIZE – 8
Cost: €35 for 6 weeks with own poles
€50 for 6 weeks with poles provided
PAY AS YOU GO CLASSES SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY

NORDIC Fit ONLINE
Duration: 30 mins
During the lockdown due to Corona virus we started online Nordic Fit classes via Zoom. These proved to be very popular and attracted people we have previously taught and are now living around the world as well as our regular customers.
We have decided to continue these classes post lock down.
You must have attended both Nordic Poles 1 & Nordic Poles 2 or equivalent before attending these classes.
The classes are 30 mins in duration of exercises using Nordic Poles. They are designed to help improve strength, stamina, balance and all round fitness
Cost: €5 per class -own poles required
NB When you book these classes you will receive a link to zoom which you press to join the class at the specified time.
NORDIC Fit Hills
Duration: 1 Hour
You must attend both Nordic Poles 1 & Nordic Poles 2 before attending these classes.
These sessions will work on hill technique as well as improving fitness by the use of hill repeat sessions.
They are designed to improve overall fitness.
Cost: €7 per class -with own poles
€10 per class – poles provided
Nordic Fit Walks
Duration: 1 Hour
You must attend both Nordic Poles 1 & Nordic Poles 2 before attending these walks.
These walks start from our base in Dysert O’Dea and will be along quiet country roads. You will be walking at a pace that increases your heart rate.
Some of these walks will be included as part of our Nordic Fit 6 week Programme
Own Nordic Poles must be used.
